☞ 7) Time to Share!

Share whatever parts of the process you'd like... It doesn't have to be the finished zine or comic - you can share your thumbnails or character designs instead.

Look over your daemons and demons. Is there one or two that you're most excited about?

Brainstorm a series of sequential story actions for your daemon or demon to perform. Actions can also just be described as pacing and cuts with no actual movement. Aim for 2-6 final actions.

Thumbnails are small sequential drawings. They are fast and focused on the big picture.

☞ 5) Thumbnail for 10 minutes:

Use your 2-6 story sequential actions. Thumbnail a comic involving your daemon and or demon. It should be 2-6 panels long. Feel free to edit as you go! Keep it minimal, we will create a more fleshed out comic next.

A note on terminology. According to Wikipedia:

In multitasking computer operating systems, a daemon (/ˈdiːmən/ or /ˈdeɪmən/)[1] is a computer program that runs as a background process, rather than being under the direct control of an interactive user.

In the Unix System Administration Handbook Evi Nemeth (matriarch of system administration, lost at sea in 2013, believed killed by a rogue wave) states the following about daemons:
Many people equate the word "daemon" with the word "demon", implying some kind of satanic connection between UNIX and the underworld. This is an egregious misunderstanding. "Daemon" is actually a much older form of "demon"; daemons have no particular bias towards good or evil, but rather serve to help define a person's character or personality. The ancient Greeks' concept of a "personal daemon" was similar to the modern concept of a "guardian angel"—eudaemonia is the state of being helped or protected by a kindly spirit. As a rule, UNIX systems seem to be infested with both daemons and demons.
A further characterization of the mythological symbolism is that a daemon is something that is not visible yet is always present and working its will.

In her book Demon-lovers and their victims in British fiction Toni Reed wrote:

The demon-lover conflict is basically a struggle between a misogynist and female victim resulting in her psychological or physical destruction.

Helpful guide vs malevolent presence - something that you love that is destroying you.
